I learned about Indonesian ancient history, artifacts, and the rich variety of textiles Indonesia is well known for.
Here, I am standing in front of a large statue of a long ago King of Melayu.
Below is a photo of a shirt and an outfit worn by the aboriginal people (the Dayak) who lived in the tropical rainforest of Borneo (now named Kalimantan). The shirt was made of animal skin and sewn with animal bones. The colour is natural dye from plants.
Below is a cannon decorated with a dragon head carving. It was used for ceremonial purposes only.

Museums are important because we learn about the past, and sometimes the future. They keep things safe so that people can enjoy them and learn. It's fun to go to them, except for when your legs get really tired.

I think that museums are very important. Museums are the same as books, but better. They teach us about the past in a way that we can all understand: with real things. I really like hands-on museums. They give a real-life experience that you can't forget. Some museums are scary and sad though: like the one in Korea that shows the Japanese occupation of Korea. Some things made me scared.
Museums are important because without them we will not be able to learn about the culture and history of other people. They preserve the important treasures and memories of long ago.
